Coveted 3p per mile

Do the MG car apps or display show mileage per kwh or a way to find out if you are achieving 3p per mile? Or is a manual calculation required?

Are you trying to calculate overall running costs or just energy costs?
If the latter, cost per mile is a simple calculation you can do in your head.

It does show an average miles/KWh and you can probably derive if you know your KWh/£ number.

(Worst case example: Public rapid charging at £0.80/kwh and driving at 3.0 Miles/KWh means (80/3) = 26.66p per mile)

Had a quick look at that calculator and tried various settings.
For a 200 mile journey charging at home at 10p/kWh with an efficiency of 4.5m/kWh would cost £4.44 which is only £2.23 less than enjoying the drive and getting 3m/kWh.

If you’re saving a bundle compared to dino juice and you can afford to have fun with those savings, why not? Especially if you’re generating your own juice from solar ?
