So we bought our new MG ZS Trophy connect long range in Feb and have only charged at home on a Zappi.
We have a long journey to make soon so thought we would familiarise ourselves with DC charging before we actually need to. So I have an Electroverse card and a few apps installed and registered.
Tried charging at 3 chargers (Genipoint - not working, Blink, and Evyve) not successful at any - came up with comms errors.
I disconnected -ve battery terminal for 5 mins to see if a reset worked.

Tried Blink charger today and it worked after about 4 attempts, went to another charger that was also Blink and after 2nd attempt it worked - 1st said charging stopped before it started. Tried another charger BP Pulse and it wouldn't take either of my credit cards even though they worked in the other chargers so I guess a charger fault? Maybe the credit card company blocked it as too many failed attempts?

Is there a very basic guide to dc charging as I seem to have problems.
I assumed I should just follow the instruction on the app or device?

Do I need to lock the car or unlock it, plug in first, start the apps etc.....

Any thoughts?
Thanks for your help.

Unlock car, plug in the charging cable, wait 10-15sec for picky chargers, then activate the DC charger either through the charging unit itself (e.g. RFID fob/touchscreen/etc) or the app if they provide one.
