drive mode auto switching without input

When I try to switch the drive mode of my MG4 Long Range to 'sport' mode, after about 60 seconds it automatically reverts - but actually switches straight to 'snow' mode, which is frustrating as it's the polar opposite (sorry!) of what I want.

Has anyone else experienced this? It happens every time, apparently not linked to stopping, or braking, or any other driver input that I can recognise.

It's a recognised bug, but it seems that it's only on the infotainment screen. The car is still in "Sport" (certainly still feels to be in Sport to me) and it still says "Sport" on the driver's screen. It's just that the infotainment screen is lying to you.

A workaround is to set CUSTOM mode to all SPORT settings, and select Custom rather than Sport.
