Today I booked for 1 year service of mine my2024 Luxury64.

I informed the dealer about some annoyance I'm experiencing:
-speed signal recognition self locking to 50kmh
-the need to unbind and rebind phone to car if blutooth is turned off and on again.
-aircon temperature difference from reality around 3°C

He informed me that he may need to keep car for 2 days to update all is in need to be updated and reconfigured.

Something else I'm missing that has a known solution?
Given he is keeping my car for so long, better to optimize the downtime.

A few suggestions from my experience with a 2023 model, Not sure if they were fixed/improved by the time your model came out :-

  • LKA - Lane Keep Assist software update (Service Campaign SC077)
  • Undertray Bulge fix (if required)
  • Adaptive Cruise Control slowing you down on bends for no reason

It’s all software. Not sure what versions etc you’d have but I had an early SE and updated everything as per the guides (and buying the kit on here).

The heater behaves much better, lane kill much better even the mileage I get seems improved (I think I can stuff more in the battery and it tends to balance more now).

The system is awful, I mean awful - with determination, good WiFi, multiple battery disconnects, prayer and a set of clean underwear it took from around 9.30am until about 5pm to apply software to this basic model.

Locking, can’t answer. Unbind and rebind I think is the tbox (and possibly head unit updates, never had the issue and didn’t touch tbox tbh). Heater - known one fixed with head unit update and update/config of the hvac module.

I think the bulge issue is solved in my2024. There are now 4 bolts in the area used to come down

So, is done.
I got an air filters change, a glass cleaner refill, an update to last infotaiment version that somewhat made the auto function of climate control usable (R36 for my luxury my24, before on R33 on auto aircon was allways at max fans speed) and some module updates.
Dealer charged 76€ for the job and the recall update for the MG pilot got booked for September 3d beacause today attempt failed and the tech-guy wanted to be sure not to bork something relevant and rolled it back.

All in all not the worst...

That's quite a bit cheaper for a service than we'd pay in the UK, so definitely not the worst. (y)
On the continent/EU we don't get recovery included in the service because it's usually automatically included with the car insurance, even with simple 3rd party. I was quoted €80 (£70) here for my 1st service in January 2026.
