Frozen flap

Bit embarrassing today…

Drove 60miles to office, arrived and pulled in to charge so I could get home later.

Charging flap would not open. Pressed, thumped, wiggled but no joy. 5litres of warm water later and still wouldn’t open. Lock car, unlock car x10 but nothing worked.

Called AA and about 1 hour later I prodded to show him it was stuck and it opened immediately. Much embarrassment and a day of piss taking from colleagues all day.

So was it frozen or just having a moment? Anybody else had problems?

Frozen I would assume . I was surprised that I could open my doors this morning

Yes, the recent cold snap is probably to blame. The last week has been REALLY cold here in the Highlands - people have had to grit their teeth...

When the cold comes put silicone around the rubber of the charge port or vasiline. Saves you a lot of troubles.

Yep, vaseline on your flaps and you should have easy access!
