With the app issues, as you have a Trophy have you set up the car's Wifi to connect to your home network? Some people report this improves the app - if the signal is poor for the network it uses then you can have a lot of trouble connecting.

Currently, the most annoying other issue is that my DAB radio Keeps cutting out all the time. Driving me nuts . I do an hour commute (2 hours a day) and not having a radio is a little annoying.

You know there's an FM radio, right?

My dealer set me up with the DAB radio and it was fine there, up near the airport and well away from the hills. As I drove home it got worse and worse and by the time I got home there was bugger-all there. I attribute this to poor reception, not the radio.

By dint of random, optimistic button-pressing I found the FM setting, tuned that, and it's perfect. No complaints at all.

For the glove box rattle, you could try this:

Oooh, I'm having that! Haven't time right now but hopefully it will fix my rattle.

The other one to check is if you have sunglasses in the overhead sunglasses holder.

I have, but the rattle is coming from the glove box. I'll check, though.

Have you tried requesting the password to be sent to your email address?
I have also found linking my car to my home wifi helps with connecting the app to the car when at home.
Can you use the FM radio as a stop gap until MG get the DAB sorted out?

That's most likely an issue with poor reception due to the positioning of the aerial in the lower section of the rear hatch window.

Yes and it connects nearly every time but that could be I'm in a good phone reception area.

Are you charging on a home charger or DC public charger?
The only setting I use on the app/car is to set the percentage to 80%. I don't set the timer on the app/car. I then set the charging time my home charger.

Which version of the car do you have? It seems that the SE SR version doesn't pay any attention to a limit set on charging, as its battery actually prefers to be charged to 100% (unlike the LR version).

I've only had my car (SE SR) for five days but I've also noticed a rattle in the glove box area which only seems to happen on uneven surfaces. I'm not sure whether to make an issue of it or not, I'd be interested to know what your dealer says.

I had a rattle in mine. I thought it was coming from the glove box area. Drove me mad trying to sort it out, mostly by taping up the aircon pipes under the glove box. Nothing worked. Turned out it was a pair of spectacles in the spectacles holder ?

Our ears can sometimes be deceived with in-car acoustics ... where we think a noise is coming from can sometimes be entirely wrong.

I’ve had the 80% limit repeatedly ignored by my Trophy which has now been in the garage 10 days awaiting a new charging port as it refused to home charge after a few weeks.

My previous car, a Golf GTi Mk 6, had a squeak coming from the A-frame at the passenger side all its life. I never got organised to do anything about it.

Yeh, I’ve got the heating issue. I find 25 degrees to be about right for me. Hopefully they will resolve it with a software fix in the future. They all seem to do it.
The App didn’t pre heat for me till I found out I have to start the battery pre heat first and now it works fine.
I use a wireless dongle for Android Auto so I can leave me phone in my pocket. Works perfectly every time.

Other than that, the cars been great for the 3 weeks I’ve had it. Even managed 5.0 miles/kWh on the way home today with mixed motorway and a roads.

How does the dongle work - plug into LHS USB socket then link to phone? I also have the heater issue. What mode were you using to get 5 miles/KWh$

Yeh, plugs into the left hand USB A port. You then connect it via Bluetooth first time you use it and then it uses a Wi-Fi connection and automatically connects.

Biggest bug on mine is the phone on bluetooth.now and again i sound like a dalek.i have to stop lock and unlock car ie reset it for it to work

Very impressive results. Apart from accelerating and decelerating slowly, what other tips might you have to improve mile/KWh - what speed would you drive on the motorway?

The dongle bluetooth connection is to the MG4 or the phone?

Had the aircon on eco and careful on the throttle. I only drove like it to see what I could managed. It becomes a game to get it to the next decimal point?. Also, the M42 is 50mph limit all the way from J5 to J3 which helps.

The dongle plugs into the USB port and then the dongle connects to your phone via Bluetooth. It them automatically creates a WiFi hot-spot which your phone connects to for Android Auto. The only issue I have is if I use the app on my phone, it wakes the car and the phone connects to Android Auto if its in range which can be a bit annoying.
