Help Please Charging

My balancing usually goes on for around 30 minutes, but the cells never show better (less) than 30mV out after balancing, some of you guys have reported 20mV as the norm, I'm on the old BMS, 456v.

My balancing usually goes on for around 30 minutes, but the cells never show better (less) than 30mV out after balancing, some of you guys have reported 20mV as the norm, I'm on the old BMS, 456v.

It would appear that there is definitely an increase in the pack balance time on cars installed with the latest BMS update.
Pre update my car car would take anything from 30 mins to 1 hour to conduct a balance.
Now even after about 7 months and a good number of charge cycles at home, the balance cycle takes anything from 1.30 - 2.00 hours to complete.
I could be wrong ( please tell ) but cars with the latest BMS never appear to return to the very short balance times as the pre update cars have.
It’s pretty common knowledge that with the latest update, the buffer at the upper end of the pack, has been increased.
Does this increased space account for the increased time to perform the balance cycle now ??.
This could explain it I guess ?.
