Hi Everyone
My Xpower was purchased privately on 7th Feb from Grimsby and whilst I didn't plan on buying one quite so soon, It was a bargain I couldn't resist. Registered in December 25, I paid £21k with only 56miles on the clock. Totally as new. Drove perfect the 200miles home to near Marlborough, Wiltshire. I stopped near Leicester at a Tesla supercharger just to add 30% charge. I got home with 26% remaining, perfect.
The car will just be for occasional use for now as I have a driving school with a leased car which I may as well continue using as much as possible whilst I have it. However next year I plan to semi retire and will just buy a cheap used car for the occasional driving lesson and the Xpower will be my main personal car.
I have had a decent selection of "quick" project cars over the years, Including many Daihatsu Charade GTti's, A 210hp MG Maestro Turbo, Sierra Sapphire Cosworth and more recently a Porsche Cayman GTS.
But yes of course the Xpower is certainly the quickest accelerating, certainly at legal speeds.
Playing around tuning up engines seems like a waste of time these days!
However I like to fiddle about...trying not to get carried away!
So far I have fitted some new plain number plates
(the originals were mounted a bit wonky and I'm not so keen on EV green border plates)
Mudflaps. (still to fit)
All weather rubber type floor mats / boot liner from Aliexpress (still in transit).
The interior silicone inserts for the door pocket etc storage areas.
Silver 19" alloys with 235/40/19 Goodyear tyres (almost identical overall diameter as the factory 235/45/18...0.4% difference)
The wheels are approx 1.5kg lighter than the factory wheels.
And the Goodyear tyres also seem a little lighter than most.
might be a overall a couple of KG saving per wheel.
Not in a rush to fit the alloys yet...First I need to get my garage cleared out so the car can fit inside.
Also bought some new 6.5" door speakers to hopefully improve the stereo slightly.
Again a job im not going to rush to do..wait for when I have a full day off work and the weather is warm.
I hope to share more about the car and learn from the more experienced owners on here.
And I have a good amount of automotive knowledge myself.
Although this is my first EV.
Cheers,
Nathan Munns
