down side to that launch control its all about timing at the lights ..

Its like engaged ..................nope to soon ...............engaged again ............. nope to soon ...........enga......nope lights are green ... bugger !!

That is interesting to know, i believed the maximum 600Nm torque figure was when launch was enabled only.

Red+amber = Boot it

Green = If you wait any longer you'll get the horn.

Amber = Stop unless you can boot it and get through before Red.

I learned it as:

GREEN means go.
AMBER means go faster.
RED means "floor it!".

Or am I misremembering my driver training? ?

Yeah it’s random i sometimes feel just dropping the foot at the lights gives me better launch than actually using launch control..

Actually timing it I’ve never bothered ..

Mind you as long as I see the poor car either racing me or not in my rear view mirror I’m happy..

90% don’t bother the other 10% lose or just give up after a few lights ?

Never been beaten closest was 340kW R8 Holden club sport but had he been able to put the power to the road I think I would have been toast but it was RWD so he was fighting with traction..
And 2nd was a Audi S5 AWD thingy first lights he wasn’t trying, 2nd set of lights he tried but lost ?Didn’t bother again ?

Even got pulled over by the cops nothing happened but he said you've done nothing wrong but just be careful accelerating too fast from the lights please..
0-80 km/h speed limit is quite quick ?
