What’s the highest efficiency number you’ve seen?
For me it was 7.3 mls/kwh which was after a short 2.8 mile journey.

Displaying infinity for economy is not unusual in some older ICEVs which had those analogue fuel economy gauges. As soon as you coasted and fuel injectors stopped supplying fuel the gauge moved hard to the one side indicating infinite fuel economy. When you stopped it would go to zero as fuel was being consumed without moving.Displaying infinity for the case of 0 overall energy use is not ideal either.
IIRC my petrol car displays consumption in gallons per hour when stationary.Displaying infinity for economy is not unusual in some older ICEVs which had those analogue fuel economy gauges. Yeah, there are/have been all sorts of fuel consumption displays in ICEVs. Many have range estimates as well. With multipurpose digital displays the units could be changed to suit.IIRC my petrol car displays consumption in gallons per hour when stationary.
Yes, I see that daily on drive home from work. Highest on a longer normal journey was 5.4.You can max out the readout if you start at the top of a hill. I think someone did that and reported something like 20 miles/kwh.
I had a trip once, filled up at the start, then after the first 267 km:I had an MFD in my old Golf, and I think it topped out at 400 mpg when the car was being towed. I used to watch its GOM a lot, and got wise to the lies it was telling me. 550 miles? No I really don't think so.
Mine's a 2 litre MKV TDI.I never saw more than 450 miles, full to empty, on that Golf. Usually more like 400 miles.
That explains it.
