His Lordship being our nickname for the car.

We came back from a walk in the park.

Good song that, thanks, Nick. But I digress.

I stayed in the car looking at posts here and another forum. Yes, I'm ashamed to say that I am unfaithful...

I was in the car a good while, but I can't remember how long. It did that thing where it clicks and shuts down.

Anyhow, eventually, I went in and locked the car. The lights stayed on.

No Biggie, I thought, Mrs S has turned them on via the stalk. So I went back and yes, they were manually on. So I turned them off and locked the car again.

The lights stayed on.
Weird.

So I got in the passenger side with key in hand and did the bum on driver's seat thing.

Heard a relay click, but nothing lit up.

Except the rear window demist switch.

I turned it off. It came back on.

I turned it off again. It came back on again.

I got out, shut the door, locked up, opened the door, got in did the bum on driver's seat thing again.

Nothing lit up.

Except the rear window demist switch.

I turned it off. It came back on.

I turned it off again. It came back on again.

I did the getting out, locking up, opening, getting in and doing the driver's bum thing again and sat there for a moment contemplating fetching a 10mm spanner.

Then, I don't know why, I pulled up on the handbrake.

Instantly, His Lordship sparked into life.

I got out, locked up and all was well with the world.

There isn't a 'confused face' reaction on here, otherwise you'd have got one.

One of those weird situations I guess. Hopefully not to be repeated.
