Home charger extension?

Hi,
Has anyone successfully used an extension cable with their home charger?


I’m asking because my charger is at the back of my garage, where I currently charge my ZS EV. I’m soon replacing it with an MG S5, but the charging socket is at the rear of the car and my Ohme Home Pro cable isn’t long enough. Ohme wanted to charge me £720 for an extra 3m of cable!


I’ve had a look online and can see that extension cables are available, so I was wondering if anyone has used one and got on okay with it?

Ask a sparky to price changing the cable that will be cheaper than Ohme for sure.
As for an extension, no can do I'm afraid, the plugs are designed specifically to prevent this.
