Hi can anyone explain way howards motor group are not renewing mg franchise as I brought my mg4 from them. Which includes service plan etc
No, group sales manager privately e-mailed me. It was a group decision to ditch MG, rather than the other way round.About 2 years ago MG UK decided that only dealers with floorspace for 7 cars IIRC would be kept on. Any small dealers were put on notice that they could lose the MG franchise.
Maybe this?
Count yourself lucky, I'm on my 3rd different dealership in a year here in Aberdeen, and up till now none of them have been any good ?There has been at least one other thread about this ... I suggest you search this board for Howard.
E.g.:
MG4 service plan
I've been Smurfed... Just taken the car in for its first service and they've given me this basic Smurf as the courtesy car on an open ended loan in case they can't fix any problems they might find. But is it faster?? :Dwww.mgevs.com
X Power Vibes Fix?
I feel a bit stitched up now, even though Howard's have never contacted me since I picked up my car in Oct 23. Either they have lost the franchise or they have decided they don't want the franchise anymore?♂️www.mgevs.com
I was in Howard's today and the staff haven't been given a reason for them ditching MG (or not allowed to say), but on a more positive note they had heard there were negotiations going on with another dealer in WSM already. Time will tell if that's true or not. ?Count yourself lucky, I'm on my 3rd different dealership in a year here in Aberdeen, and up till now none of them have been any good
