I hate my MG4!

Shock horror, American media slate the Chinese. Yawn. The Americans simply can't compete so they drag out the usual anti-Chinese rubbish because they can't produce most things that people want to buy. My money will always be on China for anything high tech.

So you’re a China fan boy as well as an MG fan boy 🤣. Your true colours are coming out !! 😉😀👍

Are you saying that YouTube video above is a lie ? (Calling it rubbish).

I am reclassifying my car as an a****g junk bucket. The dealer support is pap "sorry we didn't have time to do the software updates you booked the car in for, and at 3 years old and 23,400 miles, the first MOT throws an advisory on worn front suspension bushings...that's just shoddy materials imho.
I had worn front suspension bushings at about the same mileage but after only 2 years, which I thought was not good. My dealer replaced them under warranty. I don't know if they are still under warranty at 3 years old but it might be worth an ask.

My first car ( Morris Marina ) had grease nipples on all the suspension linkages, (what happened to them) and you could spend a happy hour with the car driven up on a house brick under each wheel squirting in a dollop of grease with a grease gun. Well, you could until some little 5 year old .... ran off with my grease gun as I was lying prone on my back under the car.

And if it didn't have a grease nipple, it got sprayed with Duck Oil, was always a messy job though. 😁

As they provided a handy quote for the cost of the work I fear the suspension components now come under "wear and tear". Though to be honest now even if everything wrong with it, from the suspension and charging issue to all the minor niggles were fixed next week under warranty I still wouldn't be keeping it. MG had their chance and have well and truly blown it.

I'm tempted to buy an 80's Pontiac Transam...dubious reliability sure but at least I can fix most of it with a socket set rather than having to wait for the dealership to do the software updates.

Might be slightly more expensive on fuel!!

Were you a contortionist in a previous life? Not sure how to lie prone on one's back ;) 🤓
Thank you to Google for the correct interpretation and to Everest for prodding me in the right direction , and apologies to all the old pronnies everywhere who are as confused as myself. Apparently, I was supine, when someone's little treasure aka : thieving little git , took off with the best grease gun I have ever had.
And to those who claim supine to be medical , I was in anguish both mentally and physically as my nose was up against the prop shaft centre bearing and the exhaust joint brackets where grabbing hold of loose clothing as the planets lined up in an attempt to thwart a quick exit and subsequent foot chase even though the little sod had hightailed it into the ginnels and alleyways of the estate to disappear like a young Derren Brown . 😄
