I have just bought a used MG 4 Trophy - how do I enable Sat Nav?

I have just got a used MG 4 Trophy.

I cannot enable the Sat Nav. I have watched the You Tube video and there is nothing in settings that says 'Permissions@. I have toggled the Privacy agreement and nothing happened.

I have also tried to bind that car and it keeps saying that it is bound to another mobile number and I cannot override this ebven though it asks me to press button to do so.

Further, I have used a wire to hard connect my iPhone for Car Play and it works intermittently but mostly not at all.

I have bonded my phone but contacts only, when I tried to play Amazon Music it says there's a GDPR issue.

Is there an easy to fix all this?

Book it in to the dealer.

No great loss IMHO. You're better off using Android Auto or Apple Carplay.

Further, I have used a wire to hard connect my iPhone for Car Play and it works intermittently but mostly not at all.

It will only work via the USB A port. The USB C port doesn't support AA or CP.
Irrespective of that you need a good quality cable that supports both power and data.
A wireless USB A dongle works well for many of us.

There's a process you can follow to unbind the old owner if they didn't do it. I think it's in the manual but don't recall where.
You can also call MG themselves and ask them to do it for you.

Hi, there are few threads on the the app and binding, put a few words in the search bar but it sounds like the last owner did not unbind it so like others have said looks like a trip to the dealer. Did you get it from MG?

They are early return Octopus leased cars. Mine was registered May 2024 and had only 3.9k miles on the clock

Under the iSmart privacy accept screen scroll down and there are 3 settings to turn on.
