I’m running a HS pHEV so calculation changes after each long journey. I can go weeks, even months showing combined fuel of 80-90 per gallon, do one long journey and it drops to 60-70. I can however go weeks on end on battery within the 32 mile battery range. However charging is 3.5 to 4 hours at 3.5kw per hour which at 21.6p / kw is £3.21 to do 32 miles, that’s only half the cost of a good diesel car. Lugging around the 2 engine makes a huge difference and negates paying a premium for a pHEV if you do lots of long journeys
