My car is not auto adjusting between day and night on the info background. When I got the car it was set to auto but was dark in the day. So I increased the brightness thinking it would still go dark at night. First night journey and I was dazzled by thw brightness.
I am definitely toggled for auto adjust. Do I have to adjust the brightness at night and it will remember it? Or am I missing something?

Not sure on the MG4 as I always have mine on dark mode, but on previous cars, if it was set to full brightness it over rides auto. I had to dial it back a touch from full then set it to auto.

The drivers display you can set a day and night brightness level, but the centre screen is a poor set up, you can set a level and when the lights are on it dims the display but only a bit. I have my centre screen on about 50% and use dark mode all the time.

Also Auto mode has nothing to do with the brightness it just switches between light and dark theme,

The brightness is certainly too much. My only recommendation is to turn on the inbuilt Sat Nav when dark, this seems to make the glare less impacting.
