Infotainment gone black

Centre screen has gone blank. Working ok, popped into supermarket came back to car and is off. Car driving ok but obviously no options to adjust anything on the car. Driver display is working fine.

Had car two days.

Random SOS error came on this morning for about two minutes while driving then went off.

Left it 10 minutes. Went back out to car and now back on.

Happened to anyone else?

I'd keep a sharp eye on things, if it happens again straight back to the dealer.

You can reboot the infotainment screen by holding down the home button for 10 seconds. I had this happen once and a reboot cured it and it hasn't come back.

Give me a break, I fixed it within 1 minute and you still got in there first! ?

Yeah definitely keep an eye on it but going to report it now to stick a flag in the occurrence!

If happens again I will try the home button trick but fingers crossed I never have to!

Must use the O2 network like my mobile then! Ok unless persistent I will just keep an eye on it. Thank you.

Yep, I regularly get that on a specific hill where it loses signal. The alerts are a bit alarming.

Yes especially when you move from a 15 year old Mini Cooper…

Some people say it has the ability to hop networks to whichever is strongest at the time but I’ve no idea if that is true. It does a better job than Vodafone on my mobile anyway!

Hope you enjoy your car anyway, my infotainment has been good so far but my trophy used to get slower as the battery got less than 20% charge until I couldn’t keep up with lorries?

all sorted with a software update though now
