Keeping track of my MG4 (efficiency)

First post updated, with February's data:

Average speed 35km/h, I gotta hand it to you, you have a lot more patience than me, I would have got my electric bike out ..... :D

One of the first replies to this thread was exactly regarding the average speeds shown, and this was my answer (to @NLMGSAN) at the time:

Lots of time wasted sitting in traffic, dropping the kid at school, going to the factory then to the office (my work involves being in two different places almost everyday). Even the manoeuvres needed for parking the car in the apartment building garage takes some time.

Also, because of the way the car turns itself on (simply by placing your bum on the seat); all this will result in it being on (with the speed average dropping...) for long periods of time, while static.

At least that's what happens with me, and as a result the average speed quickly comes down.

This answer still stands today.

The only type of driving that I'll do that I consider slow is when doing long-ish journeys on the motorway - in those cases, I'll usually set the speed to 100 km/h (62 mph).
Other than that, I usually drive a bit more on the quick/aggressive side in urban environments (meaning quick acceleration on junctions and roundabouts; not necessarily high speeds) and on A and B-roads I usually drive around 80~90 km/h (50~56 mph) whenever possible.
Also, almost every week I'll do around 40 km (25 miles) on motorway with a fixed speed of 140 km/h (87 mph).

Posting my efficiency figures for February.
I've also found my figures were wrong for the figures I'd calculated as questioned by @NLMGSAN.
The figures for raw power input are now slightly lower than the cars figure for efficiency which is what I would expect.

My Calculated figure now reads 3.01 mls/kWh for the month. A low figure, this month but includes all the charging losses. In previous months the figure has been closer to that of the cars figure.

First post updated, with March's data*:

PeriodDistance (km)Efficiency (kWh/100km)
March 2026194515.4 (4.03 mi/kWh)

Current overall combined efficiency, after 34,740 km: 15.4 kWh/100km (4.03 mi/kWh).

*Decided to leave out Average Speed and Up Time going forward, as I believe they end up being unrepresentative of factual circumstances.

Came home from the weekly shopping trip with 11.0kWh/100km showing.
Not that I look often but don't think I've seen it this low before.
I forgot to take a pic before I unloaded the shopping and turned it off. So took this pic instead.

Interesting that it;s saying 2kWh/100km when stationary, is that the aircon and lights or just a glitch?
I guess the 2 spikes are my accelerating on to the freeway ramp to merge at 110km/hr.
But the last run home is sitting under 10kWh/100km, if it had been a longer run it may have got to 10kWh/100km. traffic was a bit slow, probably sitting just below 70km/hr most of the way. Temp 17C no wind or rain.
There's no way I could do it, but on those numbers I could get about 450kms on a full tank of electrons

The car is consuming energy while idle. How much depends on what it is doing. Aircon systems will definitely draw power. In Australia cabin heating will use a chunk of power as we do not get heat pumps, just single direction aircon. Aircon consumption will vary depending on a range of variable.
