LANE ASSIST RECALL

I got the lane assist update plus some other updates to the car to stop loads of random warnings on start up a few weeks ago.
It all seems to be working now, I can just leave lane assist on and forget about it.
The car boots up much faster and I stopped getting all the failure warnings on start up. Speed sign recognition mostly works now too, it still picks wrong limits from slip roads but it doesn't shut off completely any more.
It's like a different car now, so much less intrusive that I rarely look at the mg pilot settings anymore. I can just get in and drive with everything left at their default settings.

Yes, it is a real shame so few people have got a decent set of software updates (car modules, not merely infotainment) as it transforms the car's systems. Really hope MG is learning from this and that future platforms will have proper OTA infrastructure.

So I was in my local MY dealer's on Tuesday , and was advised that there was a recall on the MG4. It was a Lane Assist recall and they did the upgrade there and then. I don't use Lane Assist at all; indeed I turn it off each time I get into the car, but I wondered if you all have had the same recall as me and if so, what if any difference it has made ?
N.B. This software update was, of course free of charge
On my MGZS it is turned off permanently- don’t have to switch it off each time.
