It is a bit harsh, I always turn the speed limiter on before starting so just flick it off at the same time, it is what it is but it can be deactivated before you set off or switched to haptic alert. Just make it part of your vehicle checks before driving, we share a car so I have to reset the seat, mirrors, heating and flick to sport mode too.
