Marvel R update & Diagnostic (VDI, VNCI, someone else??)

Has anyone updated or looked into the Marvel R? Is it the same as the MG4 mentioned in the thread?

Is anyone seeing any updates from MG to the Marvel R? At least the service centers are not eager to update them, if I understand correctly.

No. As I know till today, the Marvels can only update by visiting the MG dealer.

I have updated my Marvel in the last five months here in Germany by an MG dealer in my city, it got the R32 version, it is the last upgrade.

Marvel has many other units to update than just the FICM, which includes the R32.

During scheduled maintenance, they do not update the FICM or any other unit unless there is a reported fault, even though their update is part of the maintenance program.

I myself bought a Marvel last winter and immediately went to the dealer to have it checked out. At that time, several units underwent software updates, and with them, for example, ELK became usable.

Yes, I know.

I have all MG Marvel R maintenance documents. (see the attachments for example).

But you need a company (or a dealer) account to download by the USB updating METHOD .

For SIPS (SAIC program system) updating METHOD you need a high end scan tool (i have the Autel MaxiPRO) that support the last Softwares from SAIC-MG motor ( here you do not need a special account).
