MEV Dashcam

I have been informed by the MG dealer in Cinderford that if I want my dashcam hardwired then I MUST have it done via an MG dealership in order to avoid a problem with my warranty.

Usual total rubbish from a dealer!

If they can prove that the installation caused an issue then that specific issue could be not covered by warranty, if a warranty claim is totally unrelated then it cannot be used as an excuse to void the claim.

They are just trying to get you to use them to install and charge you their very high labour costs.

Get someone competent to fit it (that most likely excludes an MG dealer!) or do it yourself.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the dealer just drives it over to a specialist themselves and adds a margin to the bill before they show you. Happens all the time with tyres.
