MG 4 - can you use the phone hands free

Hi all,

I have an MG 4 Trophy LR and have a question regarding using the phone when connected via Bluetooth. Is there a way to search through your contacts on the infotainment screen without having to physically do it on the infotainment screen which I think is very distracting whilst driving. So basically can you search and call a contact from the steering wheel controls or are you (as I suspect) limited to answering and ending calls from the phone button on the steering wheel only?

Tried voice commands but it seems to pick someone random from my contacts and never the same person

I have the Thai version of the firmware on my Trophy equivalent (MG4 X) and have been impressed with the way the phone voice commands work although I'm not entirely sure if it's the car responding or Android Auto connected via a wireless dongle. Touching the microphone button on the Home screen brings up a long box with the text translation of my request (eg: "Call Alberto") After about half a second I hear "Is that Alberto mobile?" and then it connects if I answer "yes". So far it's always been right so I have no idea what will happen if I say "No". Probably turn on LKA v001 and send me into the nearest ditch...
