MG 4/Mulan after crash. Drive with deployed airbags. Crash reset. Cable and Software.

Under the wrap is moskvich 403 from 1965 but in very bad condition and it is project but frozen for now.
Niva 21214 is my father's car from 2006. It was my first crash repair project in 2012 after hard accident. Have no pics from repair.... All right side was changed... In this period here was a lot parts and was extremely cheap. whole side was about 120$ . The steel is not only out cover was pack with inner side and structure . Door was about 20$ second hand.

Battery pack is 3d printed with 4 cells li ion and cheapest bms with ballance (2$) and I use old HP laptop charger to charge lipo... Second life for my old drill.
 


First drive.
There is gr gr gr sound from brake rusty disks.
All sounds are from falling cans and stuff in trunk .... For now is big mess but soon will be better.
The car is extremely quiet. And acceleration is very good. Really I like it ;) .
I hope that can make 330-350 km highway driving round trip and will fit perfect to my needs.
In the end of street you can see my now highway car Lada Granta 1.6 lpg 2016. It is not so much known car in Europe.

@chiMol I've been watching and reading with interest since you first started posting. Incredible progress- well impressed. Keep updating as I'm sure there are lots of others enjoying your posts!
 
All those repairs to a crashed car must make interesting reading on the insurance declaration. How much extra was the insurance?

I bought the car from Germany. Now in Bulgaria after rebuild and registration process. The basic insurance is about 150 euro/y + 50 euro/y for technical approval, extra insurance (steel, damage, crash, natural disasters) is about 2000 euro (the car is priced ~30000 euro for total loss)...

Seaton - I will continue till the car has issues... This forum are extremely helpful when someone wants to DIY something .... I hope that I can be helpful with my posts and pics ;).


Till now what U can see is that after some time lane assist is not working .... If I can read the errors I can fix something but till now the car ecu is 100% unaccessible for my softwares and adapters ;(
 
When I find the reason I will tell you .... I am 100% sure that can adjust the auto options the in car with the right software.
 
Today after serious analysis of photos of repair, i see that i made a mistake with front radar. Originally connector is sideway. I put it down . This mean 2 options- it is 90 or 270 degree rotated now. I will think about new mount kit for it.... 3d print or made from balsa. I hope that this issues the error after 5-6 min. This weekend i will have some time to test . I hope that srs module will be cleared of crash data with success this days.
I must think about plastic part invitation - the part between bumper an hood. I have some ideas. I will share them soon.

The original 16 tires must be 205 60 16.... But i am in Bulgaria.... Roads are really not super and i love cars to be lifted. I am wonder 205 65 16 or 215 60 16 or 215 65 16 will fit....i will test soon...
 
Gaps are ok. I invited the inside plastic holder. Just need paint

Summary :
1st no need to adapt to car ecu
2ond Left and right electronic control and lights are switchable.

Result :
Dual headlights in working condition.

Question???
Is there drl in front blinkers??

Soon my MG will have fog lights ,but for this later.
From today after 600+ km round trip in Bulgaria airbag ecu is cleared from errors and work fine. No errors no ecall. And car is drivable. There are all old errors for line keep assist and some more but nothing worry i think. I will fix them when i get soft and cable.

Now i am thinking for registration ;)
