Here is the MG Cyberster introduction rewritten fully in plain ASCII, ready for XenForo posting. No em dashes, no curly quotes, only straight ASCII text.

Title: MG Cyberster - A Modern Electric Roadster with Global Appeal
Overview and History

The MG Cyberster is a fully electric two-seater roadster from SAIC Motor under the MG brand. The name first appeared as a concept in early 2021 and was later revealed in person at Auto Shanghai. Production was delayed by the pandemic, but the final car was shown to the UK public at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed. It marked MG's return to the roadster format that built its reputation, this time using electric power.

Design and Model Variants
The Cyberster blends traditional roadster proportions (long bonnet, low cabin) with modern features such as scissor doors and a folding soft-top roof. It sits on the Modular Scalable Platform and comes in different configurations depending on the market:
  • China (Base RWD) - Rear-wheel-drive with a 64 kWh battery, producing around 314 PS.
  • China and Europe (XPower AWD) - Dual motor with a 77 kWh battery, around 340 PS, 444-507 km WLTP range, and 0-100 km/h in about 5 seconds.
  • Top Trim (UK and Global GT) - Dual motor AWD with a 77 kWh pack, delivering over 500 PS, 725 Nm torque, 0-100 km/h in around 3.2 seconds, and a claimed range between 443 and 580 km depending on the cycle used.
  • India - Launch model available only in AWD dual motor form with a 77 kWh battery. Offered at a premium price but backed with a lifetime battery warranty for early customers.
  • Germany and wider Europe - Low volume registrations began in 2024, mostly AWD versions, positioning the Cyberster as a niche premium EV roadster.
There is also a coupe concept called the Cyber GTS, previewed in 2024, which hints at a possible hard-top model in the future.

Launch and Regional Highlights
  • United Kingdom - Debuted at Goodwood and arrived in showrooms in 2024. Offered as an affordable but exciting alternative to more expensive electric sports cars.
  • India - Launched in mid 2025 with strong performance and premium pricing, attracting attention as one of the fastest EVs available in the segment.
  • Europe - Entered as a limited volume model, particularly in Germany, appealing to enthusiasts looking for something different.
Reviews and Owner Impressions
Press reviews have praised the Cyberster's styling, performance, and generous equipment levels. While not considered as sharp to drive as traditional petrol roadsters, its acceleration, road presence, and value for money have been highlighted as strengths. Early owner feedback has been positive, with many noting the fun factor, open-top driving experience, and dramatic looks, even if some software and refinement issues remain.

Summary
The MG Cyberster represents a new chapter for MG - taking the spirit of classic roadsters and adapting it for the electric age. With market-specific variants and pricing strategies, it appeals to different types of buyers around the world. For UK enthusiasts it offers an affordable entry into high-performance EV sports cars, while in China and India it shows MG's ambition to compete at the top end of the EV segment.

It took me a long time to find out that the seats move more backward when keeping the buttons pressed for more than 10s.
Interesting... I sat in a Cyberster in the showroom last week, and found the seat didn't go back far enough (I am 6' 3" or 1.91 metres).
Are you saying if you push the seat base button backwards for more than 10 seconds, the seat goes further back?
Why on earth would they design it like that!?!?!?!

Yes it does. It is really amazing. They might have put this in to prevent the chair bumping into the back, but in that case the margin is huge, so I'm not sure that's the reason. I'm myself 1,83m (6 foot) and struggled at first for an optimal position, but when I - by accident - pushed against the button with my knee while driving - it suddenly started to move backward. What a relief it was. For me it's certainly not tight.

I also saw a Youtube reviewer being unable to properly adjust his seat and discarded because of that the car.

Another explanation is that the space behind the seats is considered in China with typically smaller people, more of cargo space? Average height of male in China is 172cm or 5,8 feet, versus 180cm or 5,91 feet in Europe.

Or maybe MG just doesn't want to sell this car in a higher volume in EU? ;-)

Another observation: 'easy entrance' puts the chair more forward than my position, so I disabled that feature, the Memory positions remembers properly the setting, but you need to keep '1' or '2' pressed during the chair adjustment.

It's designed in China. They have very few tall people!

A mi también me gustaría saber si la silla se puede bajar más de lo que aparentemente permite. También he notado que es estrecha.

I would also like to know if the chair can be lowered more than it apparently allows. I have also noticed that it is narrow.

Is there any way to release the lock of the charging cable besides the cenral driving screen? I'm always having trouble to unlock it even if the cable is disconected from the charging panel.
Thank you!

I just turn the car off and on again with the remote. You have a few seconds to remove it then.

I just ordered an original Yoke steering wheel from the Thai MG Dealer in Phuket and although it comes in red only and my car has the grey interior.
It takes 45 days to deliver and costs about THB 11.000,- including installation.
I will update with some real pictures once it is installed....
Last week (2025-06-11) my red (the only available color) yoke steering wheel arrived and was installed at the MG Dealer in Phuket. The yoke comes as bare as possible so every item has to be moved to the red yoke including the grey airbag/horn button
The red/grey combo color kept on annoying me so I decided to modify my old grey steering wheel. I liked the result so I installed it back. Now I have a red yoke steering wheel for sale.

It seems to only be available im Thailand. Unless you go to the factory in Fujian yourself.

Here is something they should adjust in their next update. The auto wiper function. Especially after rain. When you get in the car seated, and the door is open, the wiper first swipe after rain will wipe all the water into the car.

Is there a manual for all the vehicle's features? For example, what happens when you activate the Super Sport? How do I deactivate traction control? Hidden button options?

super sports gives you access to all the power the machine have. to deactivate you need to do it on the control screen unther the "Driving" Tab. disable the autohold and the ESC....then you can do the rocket launch.
