If you want a genuine MG Granny charger in a nice MG bag, this one is as good as you'll get, if you offer him around £73+the postage you'll probably get it > Granny Charger.

Yes, it's coming with a Type 2, but my home charging point won't be done when the car arrives, hence thought I'd look for a cheapish granny cable

Do you do much driving? I can go days between charging if I run up to 80/90% so if you're getting a type 2 cable you might be ok on public charging.

I don't do a huge amount of miles, so probably not gonna [need?] the 3 pin just yet. Will see how it goes.

Yep, just suck it and see to start, and as has been mentioned if you find you need one Amazon will get you a decent one next day.
Also if you are new to EVs then a bit of practice with public charging won't go amiss so you are ready for your future travels.

Good question, again though I suppose all you can do is try for the Electroverse, it may help with a few quid or worse case it won't but you'll still get your discount public charging provided you are on Octopus Go or Intelligent Go. (see signature below for referral )
