I had to go to the main menu of the car and do the full factory reset.
Took about 10 minutes.
I had to reset everything afterwards. Spotify account, adas settings, navigation favourites, phone, android auto, you name it.
Worth it though ;)
Well done Nik, glad you’ve got it working again 😀

Thanks Don; feel so relieved.

Also I need to mention that Miles was in touch trying to help as much as he could and I just had a call from the dealership and the guys were getting ready to book me in asap, organise a loan car etc.

Really happy with the support provided by MG Chorley.

Glad you had good support from Chorley. We had similar teething problems with the MG4 when it came out, dealers were not sure how to bind to the app successfully. I'd hoped they would have made it more slick since then, but at least you got a result - and others can try this if they get stuck too.

Is anyone else concerned about the car reciving updates to fix quiet a few issues people are having? The car has been out a few years in China, if they where going to fix these issues, would they not be ironed out by now? That's one thing you can rely on tesla for, is issues being fixed with updates.

We would all hope that updates will follow shortly, whilst it’s true the car has been in china for a couple of years the uk version has its own software ( albeit a uk version of the Chinese) and I would imagine it may be a couple of months before we get anything ( let’s hope they do indeed come OTA)

That's the current plan.

Also the ADAS equipment is different in China, and the version of DAB, so there are various things that will take time to shake out in the new software.

What there shouldn't be are hardware issues.

Hi all,

One think that I miss from my Tesla is the ability to watch netflix while I am waiting for the kids to finish the gazillion things that they go for....
I am a bit of a luddite so could you please suggest how can I have these apps? Or a usb plugin thinkie that I could use?

I have ordered the Long Range iM6..

To see reviews like this is a little disconcerting..

Are there any really good reviews out there?

Are there any steps being taken by MG, to address the many reports regarding handling and the suspension / steering?

If my vehicle is due to arrive next May, are there likely to be any changes to the physical aspects of the car, such as those mentioned above, to deal with UK roads?

I am willing this to be a good car, but is that not going to be the case? As it has the potential to be amazing!

That review isn't typical, from the ones I have seen. Not come across that reviewer before, so I don't know if he is any good.

Have a look earlier in this thread for reviews. Most I have seen have been positive.

Many reports? Where are these? I haven't seen them.

The IM6 is a big heavy SUV focused on comfort. So, no it won't handle like a sports car, that isn't the point of it.

Most reviews I have seen have said the handling is just fine. On the steering, this varies depending on the mode the car is in.

Any UK road engineering has already happened. The car has been available in China for a long time already.

There will be software updates for the UK as the software has been redeveloped for Europe.

What matters is whether you like it, not a reviewer. If you are not sure, test drive one or ask for a longer loan so you can be sure.

Depends on what you expect for the car.
This is a heavy SUV prioritising comfort. If you expect it that it will take corners like a sports car and that you will 'feel' the road through the steering wheel you will be massively disappointed.

I have the car for 11 days now. Simply love it. I drive it on ECO where the steering is the lightest possible. No issues with having a feel of where the wheels are on the road.
Deadly quiet and amazingly agile for its size thanks to the rear wheel steering.
Software does need some improvements; mainly the fact that the dashboard lighting is not functioning on auto (thus having it on dark all the time) and the auto high beams not being activated as they are in China.
It is also a rather thirsty beast but I was expecting this having the Launch version.

On the other hand it is super comfortable, luxurious and bang for buck the best car in its category in the market. I am not exaggerating on this. The level of equipment for its price is unbelievable.

Drive the car for yourself. Ask for extended test drive if possible. I would avoid relying on these so called reviewers.
I find that the majority of them are click baiters, always trying to find something negative about the car under review; especially if it is Chinese.

I cannot comment on the 5, can contribute a bit on the 6 launch.
Tried the sport a bit today. If you are sensible it is fine. Brakes are really good too.
What I find with these reviewers is that they expect that a 2.4 tone SUV will drive and feel like a pure sports car just because it has 750 bhp. This is not the case...
This is a cruiser, munching the motorways effortlessly. What I love about it compared to my model 3 is that I am going down the motorway doing 75 mph and the noise levels and suspension reactions are like when I was driving my 3 on perfect tarmac at 10 mph....

You should absolutely not believe in everything that is on the internet.
