Wondering if anyone else has ever had this issue? Our ZS was coming up with a “connected but not charging” message, so the dealership, under warranty, replaced most of the charging unit (not sure on exact details). But after we got it home we had the same issue. The dealership cleared the error codes they found, and said we needed a new 3-pin charger. We got one from MG but had the same issue.

Car is booked in with the dealership for early September, but when the AA came out they were able to clear the errors they found.

The car charges fine on CCS, but anytime we try a slower charge - public or at home - we get the “connected but not charging” message.

Anyone had a similar issue?

I know this is stating the obvious and it is highly unlikely to be the problem, but just to be 100% sure i am going to put them here anyway.

2 things stops our AC charger from starting a charge. (That is related to the car)

1. If a charging time has been set in the app (If it is set to start charging at 2 AM, it will not start until 2 AM)

2. If the max charge % is set, i had this the other day, could not for the life of me understand why it would not start charging, but the State of charge was at 55% and i had it set to charge to 50%

Both of the above conditions do not apply to CCS as far as i know, because CCS is usually a "Charge and go" situation, it would not be nice to plug it in and have it wait until some arbitrary time in the night before it actually started.

I think its the same with the %, it will probably assume on CCS that you want to charge for as long as you have it plugged in.

Make sure the charging socket on the car has clean pins. It may be that the connection to the control pilot is not good and the car does not get a signal from the charger to initiate the charge.
The charger sends a 12 volt signal to the car to tell it to accept a charge, no signal received no charge.

That’s one of the things the dealership replaced originally, so it’s all pretty shiny and clean in there.
