Had my MG4 since Oct 24 and the charging port lights stopped working about 4 months ago. Trawled through this thread and got a probable simple fix. Waited a month, still not working so called the local MG4 service centre, assuming (naively) that since the fault has been around since at least 2022 they would have a fix by now. After a few seconds of silence he said in all the years of servicing MG's he had never heard of this fault, but would be happy to look at it if I brought it in. Didn't want to go down that path so, as per the consensus feedback in the thread I pulled out then re-inserted the F9 fuse. Solved the problem immediately. I found the hardest part was replacing the trim panel at the end of the dashboard afterwards, also make sure you use long nosed pliers with curved tips, the fuse is held very firmly in place. Don't worry about disconnecting the -ve battery terminal as well (I didn't), although that would be an alternative to the fuse approach. After a month they continue to work. Thx to all for contributing to this fix and to #26 for the useful video. And to the MG service centre....thanks for nothing!

Glad you sorted this. The fuse removal or battery disconnect seems to solve most niggles/foibles. 🙄 To be fair to the MG dealer, they did offer to check it out for you. Always best to look on here first, though. 🙂👍

Just got my MG4 back after it went on a excursion to the local dealer from Monday morning to Friday afternoon to get the charging port lights fixed. They changed the charge port, as expected, which is an expensive item for a simple issue.

What surprised them was that they had to drop the high voltage battery to connect the new charge port assembly and they only have 2 people in a large dealership who are qualified. All good now and I was glad to give the MG3 hybrid loan car back. The loan car is about to be retired as a loan car and sold as used, and they tell me I'm the first after 4000km to say that I didn't like it. Obviously used to better standard of car now (despite the naysayers about the MG4)
