Hi all

Just wanted to ask on this post if possible by anybody that are the MG4 charging port lights covered under warranty? Because mine have stopped working since oct 2025 and the vehicle is due for a recall and a checkup of this issue. Does anyone have any experience of this as it will be an expensive job due to costs and labour to fix

Thanks in advance!

Try this - maybe it will fix it.

As @jamakr4 mentioned, and as you can see in the video where it's located, I've had the charging light fail. Most of the time, removing fuse F9 for a few minutes fixes it.
This 5A fuse is located in the vehicle's interior compartment.
I've attached a wiring diagram. Apologies, but I made it myself, and it's in Spanish.
The FuseBox design is easy to understand.
For better comprehension, there are also diagrams in English.

Remove F9 for a few minutes, I've left a comment about it.

They replaced my charging port when I had the same issue, which requires dropping the battery, so I assumed they had tried the fuse before getting sign off from MG (took 2 visits after the service). However I was browsing the Facebook MG4 Owners Australia page for amusement and I noticed someone went to the same dealer with the same problem. The dealer said they would need to replace the charge port, but the owner got it working by taking the fuse in and out a few times. Anyway I now have a charge port that is 2 years younger than the car. So let the dealer know how they could possibly fix it. If it's a new charger port all good. Either way should be warranty. However not sure if your UK warranty is more restrictive
