Well, that's what I have, and there is indeed a sensitivity setting, but I thought that was a setting to change not the strength of steering reaction but to change how the car sees the white lines.
The settings don’t remain, on my carSo...
Keep the assist on (top slider) and change the assist mode to alert, turn off the audible, leave the vibrate on (if you want, although you might be able to turn vibrate off too) and set the alert sensitivity to low?
Then turn it off and on again and see if the settings remain
Could you take a picture? The settings don’t remain, on my car
Ditto on mine. See post #81. That's the settings every time the car is powered up.The settings don’t remain, on my car
Of the settings being back at default every time I get in the car?Could you take a picture?
Is yours a Trophy? Mine seems to have three modes now: Emergency Lane Keeping, Lane Keep Assist and Alert. This is from memory looking at it last night, I’ll confirm with a pic when I get in the car at 17:15 ishDitto on mine. See post #81. That's the settings every time the car is powered up.
It was just to confirm what you said above, yours and Slouchers are the same, Devons is a different versionOf the settings being back at default every time I get in the car?
My LKA stayed off until Monday when they applied the latest update. The release notes for the update stated that the settings would revert to default on every restart and I can confirm they do. If I had known this beforehand I would have declined the update. It was just to confirm what you said above, yours and Slouchers are the same, Devons is a different version(You both have default returning to emergency lane keeping and moderate , with audible and vibrate).
Yes, it's a Trophy. Was told it had the latest set of software updates, and seeing some of the observations on here, I think that's true.Is yours a Trophy? Mine is remembering the settings. I've just tried a variety of settings as I'm doing lots of hops and stops and it has kept them at each restart. I'd better enjoy it while I can before an update changes things! Will it remember the setting if it's changed to "alert"?
I could live with a bong but I don't want it to steer or vibrate the wheel.
If the update does not contain any other features that are totally necessary, then don’t have it done !.Mine is remembering the settings. Because the vehicles have different software installed I would imagineI am struggling to understand why two cars from the same manufacturer, why some can be turned OFF and some can not, when the NCAP rating is the same on both cars ??.
Mine too. It was more aimed at the people for whom it is not remembering the settings. I'm trying to find a solution should MG screw up my car whilst it's in for the recall.Mine is remembering the settings.
