MG4 mud flaps

I've only seen and have the ABS plastic ones and by the look of them they are probably all made by the same factory but sold by different suppliers.

Bumping this thread to ask the people who have bought mud flaps which ones they chose and whether they're happy with them. There are so many on Aliexpress I don't know where to start!

I think you'll find that most of the mudflaps on AliExpress are identical and it's just the price/delivery times that vary.

and I'm very happy with them. They are very easy to fit.

I can't remember which ones I bought but as Sloucher says they are all identical and most likely all from the same factory. And yes they are easy to fit and I'm also happy with them and think they enhance the look of the car.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking about buying replacement LED lights for the interior lighting system and mud flaps, and getting my local garage man to fit them for me.

There isn't much dark around at the moment but that will change soon enough. And after getting home from the hand car wash to find road spatter up the sides of the car, mud flaps started to seem like a really good idea.

I got my mudflaps from Amazon, arrived within a week.

I bought mine brand new for £15 from an individual on eBay, guessing they changed their mind or rejected the car.

They definitely reduce road rash, and prevent muddy water from splashing everywhere. Remember to jet wash them when you clean the car though.

You can get them for about £25 on eBay shipped from the UK at the minute, 3 day delivery.

I reckon so, they are probably mass produced unbranded in one factory and sold by many different sellers under different names/brands. Amazon is the perfect example of this happening.

My only advice to anyone is make sure the ad specifically says MG4/Mulan Mud Flaps, as you can also get universal ones that look ? and quality is likewise.

Mine work well too, I'm pleased I bought them. Especially for wet/slushy/salty roads.

Well, silly me. I bought the LED lights from Amazon, and if I'd just waited for you to post that and ordered the flaps as well, instead of going through Aliexpress, I could have got free delivery as the total cost would have just made it over £25. And probably faster too.

Oh well, worse things happen at sea.

Just to make you feel better. The mudflaps are sold by a third party seller and shipped using their own carriers not Amazon's so don't count towards the £25 free delivery.

My mud-flaps arrived this morning. (The LED bulbs arrived a couple of weeks ago.)

Just before I click on "confirm receipt", can someone confirm with me that I have all the right fixings. I have the four mud-flaps, also EIGHT screws, and two plasticky push-in fittings that I see from the video are for the top front. (And a right-angled screwdriver.)

Is eight screws the right number? (Do I even need screws if you can re-use the screws that are already there?)

You don't need them - they're just handy in case something happens during fitting, especially for the popper ones. (The current ones could break if they're not removed properly).

I broke my poppers - you need to pull out the middle bit of the popper first is my tip!

However, I just reused the screws that are already in the car as they were longer that those supplied with the mudguards.

Thanks for the help chaps. I've just been up to my garage to ask them to fit the flaps and the new LEDs, because I'd rather pay them a few quid to know it's done right. Also, I wrenched my left shoulder a few weeks ago and my range of movement is still restricted. Booked in for next week. I'll let them know about the poppers.

I found the screws sent with the mudflaps were shorter than the ones already there. So too small when accounting for the extra gap with the mudflaps installed. So binned them & used original ones.
Poppers easily broken, even with the plastic remover tool so good to have spares there.
