MG4 pre conditioning question

Don't know if this has been asked before but if my MG4 is plugged in to a 7kw home charger and not charging I can't activate the pre conditioning.

Its a known bug.. Only works is actively charging or if car is unplugged from charger.

Took Kia exactly a year to fix exactly the same bug on the EV6

Anyone have any news on this being fixed? Pretty useful thing to be able to remotely trigger with all this (UK) wintry weather.... @siteguru

It does make you wonder who ‘tests’ and configures these cars doesn‘t it?
I mean, it’s pretty basic stuff and obvious that users will want to pre-condition their cars both plugged and unplugged. Poor design and development processes. SAIC have been around a while now, so it’s doubly irritating and unforgivable.
This sort of thing is really annoying - a major benefit of EV ownership is remote pre-conditioning (when it works!).

And like many things to do with this car, not quite the same for everyone! As I've just posted in another thread, mine will start pre-heating when plugged in and not actively charging but it will also then start charging just after the heating has started.
