I know it's a little late now, but I'd ask the dealer in advance if the plates could be fitted with sticky pads if you are ever in the position to do this.

I really don't know what goes through the dealers mind when drilling these holes!

My fastenings fall on the edge of a character and the dealer has still used the proper holes.

They hand this job to the lowest peon in the place, they probably don’t even know, they just see a car with plates on = job done.

If you think I'm going to paint half the screw head black to match the lettering......
I might replace them with security screws though.

I change plates so often (three cars with private plates) that I’ve become intensely fussy.
Squint bothers me, your screws bother me ?
