This is a good warranty.
One of the things that attracted me to the MG was the warranty. More fool me.

Then your MG needs some tuning. This can be dangerous.I’ve experienced this several seconds after starting to indicate, so definitely not ‘more or less simultaneously’.
I agree. It will be on my list of faults when I take the car for its first annual service next month. Then your MG needs some tuning. This can be dangerous.
This, if true, explains a lot. If they can't get past this, MG will be seriously disadvantaged in the market.I'm at my local MG dealer now - apparently the 'campaigns' are released by chassis number rather than model so while some identical cars have had updates others won't. They understand my concerns but they won't risk updating my car unless MG release the update and tell them to do it. They've had cars in for 5 months before because they've run an update and it's bricked the system. MG have a massive backlog of bricked systems due to lack of staff. They said they'd rather have the car working with some faults than not working at all.
This would indicate a build control system that's out of control. I'd already thought that this was the case with the different software variants that seem to be in the wild across the various markets (and that's just the infotainment software that we know about). This, if true, explains a lot. Yes, it does indicate that. This would indicate a build control system that's out of control. I'd already thought that this was the case with the different software variants that seem to be in the wild across the various markets and that;s just the infotainment software that we know about).
Yes, it does indicate that.
It took VW 2 years to get their software issues mostly sorted with the ID3. MG have had 18 months and it isn't looking good.
For me, issues like this would be the difference between sticking with the brand or leaving when we next change our car.
Yes but I am talking about the new platform introduced with the MG4, with new tech and suppliers. And how old is the first ZS? 4 years?
With what speeds are you driving these lanes?
MG haven't made R46 available on general release - customers seem to get it if they have bluetooth issues or similar that need attention. So the dealer is right that the latest on general release is R40.I was in my MG dealer on Friday to order a new MG4 Trophy extended range. After having placed the order, i thought I'd go to the maintenance department and ask if my current Trophy Long Range could have the latest software (I'm on R40 and asked if I could have R46 installed as i am experiencing Bluetooth issues).
They checked my car on their system and said it wasn't due any software update as there were no 'recalls' added to my car. I said that I know for a fact there is a newer software version available and they insisted there wasn't and things started to escalate ever so slightly so I decided to stop trying to push the argument (for now).
They said they could book the car in to check any issues but that they may have to keep it for a while as MG were so slow in helping diagnose issues. It's booked in but I may cancel this cos I don't want to be without the vehicle if they are going to keep it for weeks.
The crux of this is that I felt like they were either fobbing me off by saying there is no new software (when clearly R46 is available) or that they are not aware themselves of the state of things with this car. Both scenarios are pretty poor.
Think I'll do the same - if i use android auto it seems to be 90% ok with using the phone or music so will probably cancel my booking.I got the same response from my dealer (I'm on R33 , Trophy by the way) anyway I have decided not to pursue the R46 update any further as apparently it doesn't definitely cure Bluetooth unpairing and it can bring other issues such as left star button not being able to be programmed. So decided to stick with R33 , and on the occasions when the Bluetooth does unpair I ignore the message popup , press home until it restarts and hey presto Bluetooth is restored.
