After updating all the modules using SIPS a few days ago, I noticed these things:

• the light sensor is no longer super sensitive (on auto it turned the low beam at the slightest cloud or when driving under a tree)
• LKA seems to be tamed even more(I already had SC077 applied in April 25)
• when I open the charging port, HV battery gets disconnected. I don't think it was like that before

People who have all modules updated, what other things did you notice ?

I confirm all improvement you said and more :

• No more issues with 4G (TBOX) (MPU updated too)
• DC charging is a little bit faster (10 to 80% in 23 min vs 26/27)
• Less troubles to start a DC charge
• TJA is more smooth with last electric steering update
• Better control of power at small speed with last IMCU update

T-box MCU should updated before the MPU?

No first MPU.
There is a message when you try to update MCU when MPU isn't up to date.

Last MPU is SNAKP23E32 for MY22 and MY23

Another thing I noticed after modules update: the car power off after some time is not used. Not sure about all the conditions, but today was like this: doors closed, no one in the car, HVAC off. Maybe it detects that the key is not present or/and no one is in the car(seat sensors)

In the image, it looks like you have the current SIPS version 1.0.2.5 ©2026. How does the "authentication code" from MG/SAIC work for using SIPS?

The old SIPS software works without authentication; you only have to pay for usage (1 hour, 1 day, etc.) and then you can use it.

Could I update via USB without SIPS?

Same here. I really hope that this R41 fixes the issues with the camera and the trafficsign recognition.

Is it possible to update everything via USB and then later buy a VDI3 without problems, or can I directly purchase a session with SIPS?
I'm about to click to purchase VNCI VDI3 Roewe MG Wuling Maxus.

I'm bit confused. I came from service yesterday after complaining for old TBOX versions. They worked on the car for whole day but there is still SNMKP18E32. They claim that's latest from SIPS. Also gemini says that's ok.
So is it good for my MG4 SE (MY2022)? Thanks.

My mistake, I meant SNMKP18E32. I thought it should be SNMKP23E32

If SIPS says it’s the last version for your car, trust it…
Don’t try to install another version.

Maybe they think TBOX is only updatable with USB.
But it's really like FICM : MPU from USB and MCU from SIPS.
It's different for MY24 version where it's supposed to be only SIPS to make all updates.

@kurnos I'm going to install R45 and make all SIPS updates for it next week. I will make some pics of version numbers so you can check. We both have the same model .

@siteguru Why don't you install R45? I'm just curious why you're still on R38.
