MG4 Software Update Thread

Good afternoon! I'd like to know if there's a newer version available for an MG4 Luxury 24. My current version says SWI133-29176-1300R30.

Thank you

In post #6079 you got info from danish forum that there is version R41.
On 03-03-2026 I got aa appointment in a dealer shop for fixing lights in charging port, I'll ask to update also Infotainment and maps.
I've looked at the documents and files in Google Drive and there's a file named 1300 SWI133 R36 6/6/2025. I understand that's the latest update for my version, right?

In my MG4 2024 77kWh - dealer told me that SWI133-29176-1300R36 is the latest, I think that R41 can be the newest.

The update file, "1300 SWI133 R36 11912762 06.06.25.51" (839MB) for Mg My24 is located on the drive shared in this thread.
I wonder if it still updates via USB?

On swi133 be weary updating via USB, it is mainly designed to be updated via SIPS but even dealerships have issues and most likely reluctant to update
Reports of dealers that have carried out the update have had to have a new interface sent from china
There are files to update via usb though and I have a newer file but I haven't looked at it yet

I'll clear some space and upload it

Good Morning !

When launching the VDS3 application, it shows the logo screen and then fails to proceed / doesn’t open. What might be causing this issue?

One more question: A friend in my area owns an MG4 Luxury that he bought used/second-hand. With his remote key, he can open and close the windows from a distance, but this feature isn’t present on our cars. Any idea how he might have managed this? Are there people who know about this subject? I’d be really grateful if you could help… Thank you!”
I had to use a pc as that's all my laptop would do, guessing your computer isn't powerful enough

New file is for the SE

Note: This software is for MG4 SE X10 (UK Only). If your MG4 is MY23 or older it will most likely be a X8 model.

Repair Guide
Inital Checks:

Look at the top right corner of the screen. Check if there is a 4G logo as shown below. Those without the 4G logo are the lower-end models and are compatible with the following process.

I've seen that there's an R71 for SWI68, but in my case, the 4G logo appears.
Currently, I have SWI68-29958-1300R67.
Do I understand that it's not compatible?
