MG4 Software Update Thread

It has led me to confusion when reading @haloweenhamster's post.
The Drive file says R71 but the PDF says R70.
The R70 pdf comments:
First, Saic1.0+ is an internet Front Information control module, SO you can see 4G signal icon at the Top, if here is no 4G signal ICON, the Front Information control module is a Color Radio The software only match with saic1.0+.

@Pisuke You drive a MY2022, "same procedure as every year" 😎.

The new information is relevant for MY2024 upwards.
Yes MY2022 Luxury in Spain =Trophy UK.

This is the first time I've updated the FICM via USB, and I'm confused by the Word and PDF documents, which seem contradictory for both models.
I thought the software for a Luxury model wasn't the same FICM as the Standard "Spain", but I see they're identified the same way: SWI68-29958-1300Rxx. I'm missing something, though.

Standard MY2022 and MY2023 are both SWI69. Luxury/Trophy MY2022 are both SWI68. I don't know if if Luxury/Trophy MY 2023 is SWI68, too 🤷‍♂️.
I believe it is. MY2024 onwards became SWI132, to my knowledge.

Sorry for my confusion regarding the model differences.
I'm stubborn and wanted to mess things up.
The update guides have confused me even more. It's clear that with the same SWI168, there are two procedures for the two vehicle ranges.
I understand that after updating via USB, it would be advisable to run SIPS?

SWI68, not SWI168 ;)

Up until 1300R59 all Info updates were done via USB; from 1300R63 onwards part can be done via USB but the final configuration must be done via SIPS else some things won't work. (Like the target charge limit slider).
Even though my avatar is young, my eyesight is taking its toll.
Thanks for pointing that out. (y)

Alright. So the Trophy/Luxury MY22 and MY23 models are both on the SWI68 channel.
What sounds a bit contradictory to me is this: for SWI132 and SWI133, it’s being said that a USB flash is no longer necessary and that everything is done via SIPS. But at the same time, USB flash files for SWI132/133 are still being uploaded. Huh? Or is that just me finding this odd?
I’m asking because I might need to help drivers with MY24 and MY25 models, and now I’m a bit unsure about what the correct procedure is in those cases. MY22 and MY23 have pretty much been thoroughly dissected here by now.

I think USB is still operable in some specific cases (like the procedure some post above haloweenhamster post) but SIPS is the new way to perform updates.

And yes, MY22 and MY23 share SWI68 for Trophy/Luxury and SWI69 for SE/SE ER/Standard/Comfort.

Since MY24, update process change and USB is no longer an option (except some cases like I said).

But the USB update is still available in engineering menu so it's very confusing...

Standard/SE MY2022 / MY2023 is SWI69
Standard/SE MY2024 / MY2025 is SWI132
Luxury/Trophy MY2022 / MY2023 is SWI68
Luxury/Trophy MY2024 / MY2025 is SWI133

Originally all were USB updated but currently as follows;
Standard/SE still USB update
Luxury/Trophy MY22 / MY23 are USB for MPU, SIPS for MPS
Luxury/Trophy MY24 / MY25 are SIPS for all of it
