Leave the AC on and it shouldn’t steam up, or turn off the auto recirc…
Ac was on all the time. Guarantee any car will still steam up with AC on and recirculate air. It was just annoying how it kept deciding to do it!

If the car is on auto ie fan speed slow as it’s reached nominal temp (24-4)C , 3 people in the car, cold outside… No fog - everything Ok.
Incorrect, this does not happen to me, I do not get foggy windows with ac on when recirc activates either automatically or manually, the only exception is below 4 degrees centigrade when the ac switches off
AC is a separate option from auto. The way AC works it defogs because it takes the humidity out of the air. If AC is working, and blower is on a medium or higher setting, it shouldn't be possible to fog up. It is possible that something is wrong with your car.

Ok, so this is an issue with the 'auto' setting then. I don't know if it has a humidity sensor.
Everything on auto, temp set at 24 or 25 degrees (many MG4 need temp higher than you might expect, not sure if yours is one of them, I get no heat if set below 24 degrees)
I think this is the issue! A quick search on this forum site for misty windscreen - and it's not just the MG4. In my previous MB, it had a humidity sensor which would also manage fan speed / vent selection.

So, no misting for me under those conditions, 3 adults, albeit with dry clothes (can’t vouch for humidity content of underwear at any given time.) I often use recirc and it’s one of the things I love about air con that I dont get misting. Every car I’ve had bar one was the same, no misting with recirc and a/c. I did have an issue with my i3, but that wasn’t recirc related, you could feel the a/c switch off when it shouldn’t and instant misting followed, had to switch a/c off and on again and it cleared instantly, never got it fixed as I sold it. My only exceptions are if it is very cold, under 4 degrees I think then the a/c switches off. Sometimes, if I’ve had recirc on for very long time, like over an hour I might get slight condensation eg in the summer, running cold a/c, raining outside, that sort of scenario but even then it’s very minor, usually just above the vents to the windscreen.Yep I do also have that issue! hence in my post above why I said (24-4)C
