Sounds like that new Polish .
Maybe leave it dirty, less attractive, reduced premiums?

Did these ever get fitted mate?

Funny you should ask. Finally getting them sorted. Tyre sensors are a bit of a Ball ache. Don't want to take the ones out of my X Power alloys, and put into my new alloys, in case I want to sell the alloys or put them back on. So getting so new Tyre sensors for my new alloys. They are quite expensive. 🙂👍

Possible I suppose but it sounds unlikely. Getting stopped by the police is possible though, if you have one hanging from your mirror like in the article's photo because it obviously obscures your vision.

They'll be invalidating insurance for an,
Air Freshener next. 🙄🤪

Was actually being facetious. But wouldn't put it passed um. 🙄🤪

I plug mine into a powerbank (positioned under the passenger car mat with velcro) It's cool and dark down there and will last 24 hours or more so I get full parking footage. I just replace the powerbank when needed. I did have to buy a separate long enough USB cable though to replace the cigarette lighter lead.

Didn't know which thread to put this in, so seeing it's about alloys I've put it in here.
Has anyone had the TPMS light lit, on the Dash. (Tyre pressure). If you have.
Does it just light up, or does it flash. And how big is the warning light
Or does it Bing and bong, too.
Thanks. 🙂👍

It just comes on and stays on mate, not very big, and no bings or bongs, but it's the yellow warning triangle in the middle, and the tyre symbol at the top.

Probably a faulty sensor or system fault if it flashes when you start the car.
If it just comes on and stays on, it's indicating what it thinks is a pressure that is outside of the preset boundaries.

It's not unknown for tyre fitters to damage the sensors when they change tyres. If you have new wheels it might have new sensors as well in which case they'll need to be programmed to the car. Whoever fitted the tyres to the wheels should have done that for you...

If it's indicating a system/sensor fault, it'll be an MOT failure - when the time comes.

Sorry should have been clearer. I'm on about my new alloys for my X Power.
I don't want to take the TPMS sensors out of my X Power wheels, in case I want to sell them or put them back on. The tyre shop can supply them but they are £220. 🙄 I've found some on fleabay for the MG4 for £74, which say, either the car will learn them and they will work or I will Have To get them tuned in to the car.
Or just don't bother with them at all, if I could live with the warning light. It's a pain in the arse to be honest. 🙄🤪

Yeah, they are a pain for any driver with an ounce of common sense. Nobody should need the car to tell them when they have a tyre with low pressure but there you go...
If you do without the sensors you'll need to refit the original wheels for the MOT. All cars since 2012 have to have a functional TPMS system to pass the test.

Yep, but the car is over 2 years from the 1st MOT. So a while away yet. As you say refit them for the MOT. Not the end of the world to do that, but still a pain. Infact any warning light at all, is a failure. Thought modern cars suppose to make life easier.
Personally sometimes I think, they can be a right pain in the arse. 🙄🤪🙁

I'm pretty sure I've read on here that the Autel TPMS sensors work on the MG4. These are readily available and your existing TPMS sensors can be cloned to the new Autel ones as they are programmable. You can buy the full kit yourself but a good tyre place should be able to do the cloning 👍

I'm sure someone got them to work with their MG4 👍

Here you go 😁 :-
