Does anyone know if it is possible to program a RHD headlight on Xpower to be LHD?
A bit of context about my question, I have Xpower that the left front headlight got crashed, i bought a replacement headlight online but it came as RHD as in UK and now the car failed the inspection in Europe.

Any help would be appreciated.

Original thread below. Probably best to lock this one, or merge it with the original.

There was discussion on here about UK cars going to the mainland on vacation, and how there was no need to put those sticker on to change the beam (like you need to do with halogen lights). Because the LED pattern is basically flat.

I don’t think there are any differences between the headlight units, so how did they determine your unit is a RHD? Or what exactly did it fail in this inspection?

Edit;

I've just fitted a passenger side headlight that I got off eBay as I had damaged my original headlight. I'm in the UK. The headlight from eBay clearly "steps up" in the opposite direction to the drivers side headlight. It's difficult to see it on a photograph but the light seems the incorrect version for a UK car? The light was advertised as coming off a Trophy. There must be different versions UK RHD to European LHD surely?

Daniel, you are correct. The front left headlight you have installed is not for UK, it is LHD headlight. This is the one I had to buy after I bought a new RHD front left headlight. Unfortunately there is no way to program the headlight to switch it to LHD or vice versa.

Your front left headlight beam should look like this picture I will attach, it is from my car, note that the front right headlight beam is correct for Europe, I am referring to the front-left headlight beam in the picture.

I still have the front-left headlight, the part number of the spare one I have is 11505842 if it fits your car and you need it, send me message. I attached pictures of it. It is brand new just installed it and had to take it off and store it.

Thanks for the fast response!

I have just closely looked at my old damaged headlamp. In the centre section of the 3 led units, the lower part has a reflector with 2 "stepped" ridged pieces ( circled in yellow ). On my original headlight these pieces step up on the right hand side as you look at the lamp. On the replacement light they step up on the left. This is obviously the difference between the lights. That part number you have suggested is correct as per my old lamp 11505842.
The part I have fitted from eBay 10976803 which must be for a LHD vehicle.
I have contacted the seller to see if they can fix the issue.
I might get back to you about the purchase of your stored headlight also!

Thank you kindly!
