MGS6 suggested improvements

I've just ordered new ones that, according to the picture, cover that part! They are for the Shinhjian H5 (or whatever it's called), but it's supposedly pretty much the same car. Hope they fit.

Have you recived them? Curious if they do fit the S6.

Don't know if they have them for right hand drive. As it's for the Chinese version of the car, I suspect maybe not.

Anyone thought of any shortcut links they would like to see on the down swipe page from the main screen ( the same screen as the custom MG Pilot button)?

Id like a Day / Night toggle button on there so I could easily swap to day/night settings or themes seeing as there's no Auto function to do this.

The main problem is, there is no day/night function at all.

And in what way is that different to day/night mode?
The car has light sensors, so auto switching should be possible. It's pretty much been standard for 10-15 years.

Day/night mode is dimming the brightness of the screens. Having bright screen during the day and dark screen at night. Where as the light and dark themes are basically a white or black background colour. In Apple CarPlay settings, you can also have a light or dark theme.

In my other cars (vw and bmw), background changed from light to dark depending on light conditions. Normal in daylight, and if you drove into a tunnel, it changed to dark background. Same at night. But OK, it's nitpicking.
But it should be an option for having it do it automatically, or at least a quick button to change it. The withe background is too bright at night even at the lowest brightness setting imo.

My previous HS has the auto day/night. Basically it reacts with the headlights. Headlights come on and it auto dims the screens so it happens going under a bridge or tunnel and of course at night.

The light theme with the white-ish background looks nice on the car but it’s too bright. So I’m using the dark theme and steadily adjusting the brightness percentage to suit day and night conditions. Now I’m down to 30% brightness. I don’t usually like using dark mode like on my iPhone.

I'd like to have the map running in the little window on the home screen. Where it has navigation, instead of just an arrow, the map open there would be useful.
Agree with the auto changing theme/screen colours, the dark view is hard to see in the day and the light theme is too bright at night.
Headlights could be better.
Be able to adjust the time of the welcome and walk you home lights.
Also agree that having all your custom settings saved in either MGP or against your key would be really useful and save a lot of plebbing about.
