MG4
Hi guys, sorry if this has been discussed before but I’ve had my MG4 SE about 6 months now and usually a full charge shows around 195-215 miles which I could live with, then during the warm weather 2 weeks ago I had around 70% charge and the miles jumped from around 140 to 240, I though that’s odd but thought it would correct itself, anyhow today is the first time charging up at the office and it currently has 51% charge and is reading at 151 miles, which is impossible as that would take the full range to over 300? Does anyone know what issue this is and what I need to do to fix it gaslighting me?

I think your 100 hours has clocked over and the GOM is back to guessing on "nominal" range figures.
It will sort itself out as you clock up a few hours of driving.
Sorry if I sound stupid but what does my 100 hours clocking over mean? But it doesn’t sound like much to worry about, thanks for the reassurance!

Sorry, the car "remembers" up to 100 hours of use and the power consumption used over that time.
You can see these stats on the main screen where you select, overall, since start of day, or since last charge.
I reckon you'll see the "overall" number has clocked around past 99 and is now in the low single digits.

Yeah, nothing to worry about...

Oh that makes sense thanks for the info, I’ll have a look when I get in later. Thanks for your help!

The OP's nominal range shouldn't be anywhere near 300 miles though, he has a SR. 🤔

I’ve seen some weirdly high estimates when my total ticked over. Like 480 kms even though my WLTP is only 435. I think it reverts to some calculation that puts you closer to NEDC (which I think is something ridiculous like 510 km of range).

Oh that's right, you're in miles rather than kilometres. Still, give it a couple of hours of driving and let's see what the GOM guesses!
No doubt it will drop like a stone for the first few miles.
Or it could be that the OP is a hypermiler and really does get better than quoted mileage. ;)
Apparently the city range in mild weather can be as high as 275 miles according to Google.

Haha I wish this was the case, I’m closer to the 190 range as it’s mainly round the M60 to work and back. I’ve noticed today for every real mile it’s dropping by around 4 miles so it’s trying to correct itself
