New warning sound

2025 75 PLATE MG4 EV TROPHY. I've noticed a deep bong sound from my car a couple of times in the lat week. I have absolutely no idea what it means. Does anyone know please?

Cold weather warning maybe, but it could be any number of things.

Probably the traffic "situation" alert. The issue here is as soon as it bongs the red triangle alert on the map disappears, and the car shows no acknowledgement anywhere else. Not very useful of MG to implement it this way as the car bongs so much that most people end up tuning them out in their heads.

No it's not that, both times only doing about 15mph max. It's a much lower tone than the speed limit warning.

Absolutely nothing at all.

Do you have the option to display the side camera view when turning set? Does the bong occur when you've turned corner and accelerating away with/without objects to that side?

Hi yes I do, it did happen once just after I turned.

One thing I find very irritating, you get a "warning" message come on the screen, and of course you are concentrating on the road, you look down to the screen, and the message disappears, very quickly. The software logic is so wrong. Either you display a warning, long enough to read, and you have a manual "cancel" button.

Seems to be a message for the sake of it.

With my car's bongs I find it happens more often when the camera display stops updating after I turned a corner.
