They've effectively offered me the total purchase price less 25p per mile, + £1000. As I've said in my reply, if I'd hired a car from them for as long as this has taken, it would have cost £15,000, plus I've had to pay for nearly 2 years of additional insurance which have been pretty much useless. Don't think it's an unreasonable ask to improve their offer somewhat.
