I had paint protection applied as part of the deal (it was free, dont worry). However I am not even sure it was either applied properly or is there at all due to the rush on the june deal cars?
Reason is that due to the hosepipe ban I have only quickly washed the car twice, and the beads that form when rinsing are not as apparant as on my previous car. I am sceptical as most new cars have some beading when you firts wash them. So how do I approach the dealer, as I know they will fob me off.

Not sure what you consider normal but this is the first pic I can find of my car in the wet (and it didn't have a paint protection package).

If it had ceramic coating done, the beading should be apparent. It should be as if the car is newly polished really. Water should be repelled..

Usually when new cars are readied for customer (at least here in Norway) they are quickly washed down and polished. This polish usually isnt very well done, and one should always re-do this after a little while.

I havent done anything to mine yet (received it in June) but i need to do something before winter.. Either ceramic coating (third party) or regular polish myself..

I know mine was done as I keep finding bits of white residue on all the panel edges of the car.

It wipes off easily enough with a cloth and and I think I’ve just about got it all off now. There was also some on the black plastic trim which took a damp cloth to get off.

I can definitely see the water being repelled when it’s wet.
