Back from the little trip and reading the thread above it appears to have gone completely bonkers in my absence.
Anyways back to the Kelpies I won't bore with any more as there are plenty already but this one I took from directly underneath looks more like a friendly dragon.

The weather was much kinder next day for our visit to Stirling Castle, in fact positively warm. Got there early and manged to park outside the doors, we really didn't fancy the walk up the hill ! Lots of history and enjoyed the free guided tour and took a few piccies, just a couple here. Last is a view out to the Wallace Monument in the far distance (you really need to zoom )

Friday started with a trip to the Falkirk Wheel and a little boat trip. Really enjoyed that and it complemented my trip on the Anderton boat lift a few years ago ( Anderton Boat Lift & Visitor Centre )

Both are great pieces of engineering.

After that had a pleasant pootle back home to Leeds.

A total of 492 miles, 73kWh added in public charging and approx 50kWh to add back at home to bring back to 100% starting amount. Total cost £44 giving 4 miles/kWh and 8p/mile overall.
