Post this to help others that might encounter this issue.
I do not know how common the problem with the rear hatch not responding to pressing the button on the rear hatch or the keyfob are, my phase 1 Luxury/Trophy did this from time to time when on infotainment software R30 (what happens with R46 remain to be seen).
This seem to happen both when car is not been used and when you are driving it (it might be it was like that before driving of and I just did not notice it).
No amount of locking unlocking / leave the car etc. Seem to fix this.
Fix with 100% sucsess rate are to reset the infotainment system (10 second press on home button below the infotainment screen), when infotainment start to reset the button on the rear hatch etc. Works fine again.
Note: I tend to use MG Ismart a lot.
