Rear window flaps

The MG4 rear window flaps have hinges implying they can be rotated, but are they functional, or just for decoration? Don't want to risk damage forcing them.

I think the OP is referring to the top rear wing duct.

I assumed that is just the cover for where the spoiler would attach on a trophy model.

I agree. My Trophy has the spoiler in that location. Look on the inside of the tailgate and there's screws (or bolts) to hold the spoiler on so I assume yours will have something to retain the "rear window flaps".
